K-Lite finds a new home in the AMBS media center
Advanced Media Broadcasting System, Inc. (AMBS) flagship radio station K-lite 103.5 FM goes live at its new home studio on Level 2 of Starmall Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.
K-lite, a popular FM radio station since 1995, hits the airwaves with an expansive genre of rhythmic contemporary musical hits from the 90s to the present day.
“This marks the beginning of our adventure in the entertainment industry. We look forward to recovery, especially after the pandemic, and hope that we can help our fellow Filipinos through this endeavor, including creating jobs. I am proud and grateful all at once,” says Manny Villar, President of the Villar Group.
The radio station delivers original funk vibes from the 90s to recent hits. Live streaming is also available on Planet Cable TV channel 3 in select subscriber parts of Mega Manila and Region 4 CALABARZON. Listeners around the world can also tune in and live stream online through its website klite1035.com.ph or by downloading the Twitch app.
K-lite features the captive vocals of two in-house disc jocks DJ Jaybee Jariol and DJ Aly Esplana.
DJ Jaybee, one of K-lite’s original DJs who recently made a comeback in April this year, brings us his daily dose of lite favorites every day Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. DJ Aly, on the other hand, a rookie radio talent and certified gamer slash streamer is the latest voice to jam during rush hour afternoons every day from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. weekdays in a segment filled with a playlist lively and optimistic.
The return of K-lite also includes a new format of youth-inspired programming as it opens up exciting promotions such as the search for the next ‘K-lite Kampus Krew’ open to all qualified students looking for a internship program and the “DJ Kampus Hunt” which is open to all budding vocal talents between the ages of 18 and 25. The mechanisms of the promotions can be found on K-lite social networks on Facebook, Youtube and Twitch. Meanwhile, the station’s Tiktok page also hosts the “Do It, Duet Challenge” where contestants can put together their duet entry to DJ Jaybee’s sample for student DJ research.
Listeners can also enjoy their favorite Wednesday 80s hits and unwind to the soothing slow weekend Sunday playlist. True to the heartiest musical vibes, subscribers can catch their favorite artists in live performances on a live jamming segment that has recently been graced by top billers such as The Lily band, Ronnie Liang, Rachel G and Silent Sanctuary as K-lite DJs shared the spotlight with an entertaining and lively Q&A that will delight fans nationwide. Regular K-Lite programming is heard from 6:00 a.m. to midnight Monday through Sunday.
