Maharashtra government exempts print media from lockdown from April 20
The Maharashtra government issued an addendum to yesterday’s order and exempted print media from the lockdown from April 20. Home delivery of newspapers and magazines will remain prohibited during the lockdown in light of the coronavirus pandemic. He also said that the commissioners and directors of all commisionerats and directorates will come to the office with 10 percent staff.
The government of Maharashtra has released a detailed list of selected activities that will be allowed from April 20. Revised guidelines for containment measures for the spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, in the state were released on April 17.
The ordinance noted, however, that these would not apply to containment zones as delimited by the authorities concerned.
ACTIVITIES AUTHORIZED IN THE âNON-HOTSPOTSâ OF MAHARASHTRA FROM APRIL 20:
- All health services
- All agricultural and horticultural activities
- Exploitation of coconut, cashew and spice plantations
- Operation of livestock farms
- Bank branches
- E-commerce companies
