Shilpa Shetty sues the media for libel; court hearing scheduled for tomorrow | Hindi movie news



Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has filed a defamation suit in the Bombay High Court against 29 media and media house staff for “false reporting and slandering her image” in a pornography case in which her husband Raj Kundra is accused.

The actress cited several false and defamatory reports that damage her reputation.

However, according to ANI, the hearing of the case is scheduled for tomorrow.

Apparently, Shilpa demanded an unconditional apology from some media, the removal of all defamatory material and compensation of Rs 25 crore.

In her candidacy, the actress said the defamatory and false reports reduced her reputation in the eyes of the public, including her fans, followers, branding companies, associates and peers.

She also said that her reputation is an inextricable part of her right to life under Article 21 of the Indian constitution. She also suggested that certain sections of the media should be permanently prevented from publishing false content about her and that the damage caused by such coverage can never be offset with money.

Meanwhile, in terms of work, his film ‘Hungama 2’ directed by Priyadarshan was released on the OTT platform last Friday. Besides Shilpa, the film also features Meezaan Jafri, Paresh Rawal, and Pranitha Subhash.
