SoMD native Mariel Sáez appointed director of broadcast media for Biden
Mechanicsville, MD- Mariel SÃ¡ez, raised in southern Maryland and a 2010 graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland (economics) has been appointed director of broadcast media for the new Joe Biden administration. SÃ¡ez was deputy director of communications for the presidential nomination committee and director of women’s media for the Biden-Harris campaign.
For more than a decade, SÃ¡ez worked for House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer, most recently serving as Deputy Director of Communications. In this role, she communicates the legislative timetable for the House and helps develop and coordinate the messaging strategy for the House Democrats’ agenda. SÃ¡ez has also served as National Press Secretary, Maryland Press Secretary, and Press and Research Assistant for Leader Hoyer.
