At the fifth .ng Awards hosted by the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) this weekend, The Guardian ( emerged as the best print media website.

The Guardian beat Leadership Newspapers, Daily Post and BusinessDay Newspapers to rank first in the category.

At the event, held in Lagos, Akwa Ibom State won the award for Digital Innovation in State Government, while Nigeria’s Mining Cadastral Office won the category Digital Innovation in the Federal Government.

The best online media website was awarded to BusinessDay Media, just as Benue TV took home the award for the best electronic media website. The best e-commerce website went to Jumia Nigeria, while Wema Bank won Fintech .ng company of the year.

In his remarks, NiRA President Muhammed Rudman recalled that the association remains a non-profit, non-governmental and self-regulating organization that manages the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) name space. .ng in the public interest of Nigeria. and the global Internet community.

Rudman observed that the 2022 .ng Awards are the fifth in the series, created in 2016 to recognize and honor individuals and organizations that promote the growth of the .ng brand and to acknowledge their contributions to Nigeria’s digital economy.
