Quran Tempo released its last printed edition on December 31, 2020. The tabloid’s last cover page, now a collector’s item, features a full-size smartphone image in the center of a blank white page. The screen of the digital hand-held device shows incendiary Muslim cleric Rizieq Shihab, founder and leader of the now defenders of Islam Front (FPI), now dead and uncompromising. Above his head in the white turban are the bold black letters FPI with a red cross drawn above.

Below the image and next to a barcode is a small print warning. “IMPORTANT: From tomorrow on, in-depth coverage of the Front of Defenders of Islam only at quran.tempo.co or using the Tempo Media app.
