Twitter suspends media accounts

Twitter has suspended a trio of accounts linked to prominent politicians. The suspensions are said to be linked to the spread of false information about COVID.

According to Media, Grabien Media’s account was deleted after sharing a Fox News clip featuring Rep. Andy Biggs discussing vaccines, ivermectin and big drug companies.

“We demand the removal of content that may pose a risk to human health, including content that directly violates the guidelines of authoritative sources of global and local public health information,” Twitter said.

The platform also suspended the account linked to the owner of Politics for All, Nick Moar. While it’s not clear why Twitter suspended this account, Moar also owns @NewsForAll and @FootballForAll. These two accounts are also down.

Additionally, Twitter has permanently suspended Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal account for spreading false information about COVID-19.

According to Business intern, Greene has repeatedly violated his COVID-19 disinformation policy.

The official representative account of Greene, a freshman Republican from Georgia, remains active on Twitter.

Greene slammed Twitter via GETTR citing instances where Democrats encouraged violence and riots in 2020.
