Victory parade through the lens of the Baku media center [PHOTO]

The Baku Media Center featured photoshoots from the Victory Day Parade held in Baku on December 10.

Hundreds of people gathered in the territory of Baku Boulevard to witness the spectacular event that marked Azerbaijan’s victory in the Nagorno-Karabakh war in 2020.

The war ended with the peace agreement negotiated by Russia and signed on November 10 by the Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian leaders.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijani First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan also attended the victory parade.

The parade brought together more than 3,000 members of various types of troops. Up to 150 pieces of military equipment were presented, including recently adopted military equipment, missile and artillery installations, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), air defense systems, warships and boats.

Some military equipment taken by the Azerbaijani armed forces as a trophy of the defeated Armenian armed forces was also presented during the parade.

Earlier, the Baku Media Center paid tribute to the martyrs of the Patriotic War.

Almost 2,783 Azerbaijani military personnel lost their lives in the 44-day war. Among them, 103 soldiers have not yet been identified. More than a hundred soldiers are missing, while 1,245 are treated in hospitals.

A clip was shot with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The musical piece “Eternal Peak” (Vechnaya Vershina) is composed by Tural Mammadli. The song is performed by emeritus artist Aygun Baylar.
